However, as the traditional ZnO powders are hydrophilic, which make them easy to sink in aqueous solution and need agitation or aeration to ensure the photocatalytic reaction proceed smoothly. Therefore, the low utilization of sunlight limited them to industrialize. In order to solve these problems, in this study, we successfully prepared composite ZnO hollow microspheres and their amphiphilic boundary photocatalysts that had high ultraviolet-light catalytic activity. Meanwhile, methylene blue and antibiotic drugs were chosen as simulation pollutants to evaluate their photocatalytic performance, and the influence factors of photocatalytic activity were disscused. The experimental results are as follows: (1) Used emulsion copolymerized polystyrene as templates, ZnO hollow microspheres were prepared by template-precipitation method. They possessed good ultraviolet-light absorption performance with diameter of 1-4 μm, specific surface area of 19.2 m2/g, hexagonal wurtzite and bandwidth of 3.21 eV. Through the investigation of main influence factors on photocatalytic activity, the optimal preparation conditions were determined: the reaction temperature, amount of PS templates, pH value of reaction system and calcination temperature were 28℃, 10%, 9 and 600℃, respectively. Under the above conditions, ZnO hollow microspheres have good ultraviolet-light catalytic performance, the 10 mg/L methylene blue and antibiotic drugs can be degraded 98% and more than 71% in 125 W high-pressur
