Intelligent devices are playing an increasingly important role in our daily life and work, and other fields. Among them, after the emergence of autonomous driving technology of intelligent vehicle, people are paying more and more attention to intelligent vehicles. The paper explores the design scheme of autonomous driving intelligent vehicle with GPS navigation. The design mainly focuses on three parts, namely, mechanical part, hardware part, and software part, including design calculation and components selection. Among them, the mechanical part designs a four wheel drive SUV model; the hardware part selects AVR ATmega2560 chip as the processor, complete with GPS module, sensor module and power module, etc.The software part is programmed by C language. Algorithm design and programming are conducted for each module. Eventually, it realizes control of the autonomous driving intelligent vehicle model.
