AbstractTheconceptofMediaLiteracyhasbeenintroducedformorethana decade.Inthosedays,themediaenvironmentinChinahasexperienced hugetransformation.Meanwhile,themassmediabasedonthenewand hi-techhasmorecomplicatedlyandprofoundlyimpactedonthe teenager’sdevelopmentandadvancementduetotheaccelerating propagation,morediversifiedpatternsandmorevariouscontentthan before.Inthepasttenyears,thedomesticresearchingaboutthemedia literacyhastransformedfromthetranslationofforeignresearch resultstotheempiricalstudyofthelocalinvestigation.Especially since2004,theyhavepositivelyfocusedonbothteenagersandcollege studentstosurveythemedialiteracyleveloftheaudienceinChina, however,someofwhich,themigrantworker’sdescendant,hasbeenseldom concentratedon.Fortheseyouthlivingintheinformationera,whether theycouldcontact,usethemediaproperlywillinfluenceontheirown development,andevenonthefutureofcitytheyarelivingin. Consequently,theirmedialiteracyshouldberesearchedtofitforthe development of society and economy.Hefei,theCapitalofAnhuiProvince,isafastdevelopingcity,the hugescopeofrebuildinginolddistrictandtheconstructingofnewarea havebroughtagreatnumberoffarmworkersandtheirchildren.The educationproblemofthesechildrenbecamemoreandmoreobvious.The governmentofHefeihasspecified70schoolsforthesechildreninorder toresolvethisproblem.However,somequestionshaveraised,doesthe medialiteracyofthesechildrenbemuchlowerthanchildrenwholive incitiesinthesameeducationenvironment?Doesthemassmediabring anyinductionforthesechildrenwhentheycomeandliveincities?Does themassmediahelpthesechildrentoadaptcitylife?Theauthorhas madequestionnaireinterviewsinmedialiteracyofmigrantworkers’children in Hefei about these questions above.IpickjuniorschoolstudentinHefeiNo.29middleschooltobethe representationofthechildrenofmigrantworkers.Tocomparetheresults, thequestionnaires wererandomlydeliveredtostudentsinthemiddle schoolaffiliatedwithAnhuiUniversityasthecityteenager.
