①AsshowninHoechst33258stainingassay,comparedwiththecontrolgroup,thenumberofcellswithnuclearcondensationinducedbyox-LDL(50mg/l)increased significantly.Pre-treatmentwithdifferentconcentrations(1,10or100ng/mL)of Ghrelincausedadecreasedapoptoticproportionby30%,44%,56%, respectively, comparedwithox-LDLgroup(allp0.05).TheapoptoticsproportionoftheHUVECs pretreatedwith10ng/mLGhrelinfordifferenttimes(1,6,12hours)wasloweredby 40%, 60%, 72%, respectively, in comparison withox-LDL-treatedgroup(allp0.05).②Compared with the control group, expression of caspase-3 induced by ox-LDL(50mg/l)increasedsignificantly.Theexpressionlevelswithdifferentconcentrations(1, 10or100ng/mL)ofGhrelinwasdecreasedby17%,23%,45%,respectively,andwith10ng/mLGhrelinfordifferenttimes(1,6,12hours)wasloweredby32%,47%,52%, respectively, between each groupthedifferences weresignificant(p0.01 or0.05).③Asshownin nitrate reductaseassay, comparedwith the control group,the NOproductioninducedbyox-LDL(50mg/l)increasedsignificantly(p0.01). Pre-treatmentwithdifferentconcentrations(1,10or100ng/mL)ofGhrelincausedan increasedNOproductionby25%,54%,85%,respectively,and30%,46%,68% respectivelyfor differenttimes (1, 6, 12 hours), compared with ox-LDLgroup (p0.05).TheinhibitoryeffectofGhrelinonox-LDL-mediatedinflammatorycytokinesexpression inHUVECs①Comparedwiththecontrolgroup,theexpressionlevelsofIL-6in HUVECstreated withox-LDLweresignificantlyincreased(p0.01),whichwasnotablyinhibitedby19%,35%and60%decreasewithdifferentconcentrations(1,10or100ng/mL)ofGhrelin,andby36%,45%and56%decreasewithdifferenttimes(1,6,12hours), betweeneachgroup the differencesweresignificant (p0.01 or 0.05).②Comparedwiththecontrolgroup,theexpressionlevelsofIL-8in ox-LDLgroupweresignificantlyincreased(p0.01).Pre-treamentofGhrelinsignificantlydecreased theox-LDLinducedIL-8expressionby31%,52%and84%withdifferent concentrations(1,10or100ng/mL)ofGhrelin,andby56%,68%and79%with differenttimes(1,6,12hours),betweeneachgroupthedifferencesweresignificant (p0.01 or
