AbstractGasflowmeterisusedtomeasurethegasflowofsomepipes,anditstypicalapplicationistheflowsurveyofcompressedairsystem.Itiswidelyusedintheindustriessuchasspaceflight,energysources,medicine,foodstuff,motorcarindustryandnaturalgastransportation.Asthethermalgasmassflowmeterhastheadvantagessuchaslowlossofpressure,largemeasurerange,highprecision,itiswidelyused.However,thehomemarketofthatkindofflowmeterhasalwaysbeenmonopolizedbyforeignproducts.Thereasonisthatthehomeenterprisescan’tmasterthetechnologyandtherelatedfabricationprocesses,therefore,theproductsdon’thavelong-timestabilityandgoodprecision.Inthispaper,anewsingle-probeflowmeterhasbeendevelopmentthroughtheresearchingonthedouble-probeflowmeter.Greatchangeshavebeenmadeinsensorpartandmeasuringsystem,andsometesthavebeendoneforthenewflowmeterswhichhavebeendeveloped.Firstly,thesensorpartoftheflowmeterhasbeenimproved,includingthestructuraldesignoftheshellofthesingle-probeflowmeter,thedevelopmentofthepackageprocessesoftheheatsensitivesensor.Thiskindofflowmeterusesonlyoneprobe,andmakesthevelocityprobeandsensorheadaswholetoprocess,whichcanincreasetheairproofofthesensorpart.What’smore,asthevelocitysensoralwayslocatedinthemiddleofthepipes,sotheinstallationoftheflowmeterbecomesmoreconvenient.Sometesthasbeendoneforthesingle-probesampleswhichhavebeendevelopment.Useexistingmeasuringsystemtotestthesensorsamples’long-timestability,responsespeedandtheinfluencefromambience.Thenthemeasuringcircuitoftheflowmeteralsohasbeenimproved.ThenewflowmeterusedPIDcontrolcircuitinsteadofbridgecircuit,itadjuststhePWMwave’sdutyratioaccordingtoPIDalgorithm,sothevoltageofvelocitysensorwillbechanged,thenitcancontrolthetemperaturedifferenceofthesensors,andaccomplishthemeasurementofthegasflow.SometesthasbeendonebymakinguseofPIDcontrolcircuitwhichhasbeendeveloped.Thetestingobjectsincludinglong-timestability,responsespeed,etc.Thetestingresultshowedthatcomparedtobridgecircuit,PIDcontrolcircuitcanmakethetemperaturedifferenceofthetwosensorsmoreclosedtoideavalue,a
