2Have students learn and talk about disadvantages of chemical farming and advantages of organic farming.
3Master some key words and phrases: chemical, organic, build up, lead to, keep…free from, focus on, production, cause damage to.

2 Improve students’ confidence in reading

1) Guide and motivate students to read purposefully.
2) Give students proper guidance while they are reading

1. Greetings: Good afternoon, students, how are you doing today?
2. Ask student:
① show two pictures of kiwi fruit and ask students which kind they prefer
② tell students the smaller ones are organic fruit and the big ones are chemical
③ ask students which kind is better for our health and if they want to know more read the passage on page 14.
