AbstractAsthehigh-speeddevelopmentofthebackbonenetworks,accessnetworkshavebecome thespeedbottleneckofinformationnetworksystems.GPON(Gigabit-CapablePON),which hasmanyadvatangeslikehighbandwidth,highefficiency,largecoverage,andrichuser interfaces,becomeoneofthemainFTTHaccessnetworks.Atpresent,GPONonlysupports AES(advancedencryptionstandard)encryptionalgorithm.AESalgorithmisusedtoreplace DESthatNISTreleasedasanencryptionstandard.Afteryearsofanalysisandtest,AEScan resistvariousattackswithknownmethods.This paperusesadvancedencryptionstandard(AES) asthecoreencryptionalgorithm,whichisimplementedbyFPGAhardwareasadataencryption module.ThismodulecanbeusedtotransmitdatasafelyinGPONwiththecharacteristicsof highflexibility,processingparallelism,bigthroughputandscalability.Atfirst,AccordingtotherequirementofAESdataencryption,selectthetypeofFPGA chip,drawaschematicdiagram,its correspongdingPCB,andbuildsitshardwareplatform.Next, hardwaredescriptionlanguageVerilogHDLisconbinedwithprinciplediagramdesigntowrite FPGAprogramanddebugit.ProgramdesignisimplementedbyfollowingthestandardofAES encryptionalgorithm.Atradeoffbetweenchipareaandits performanceneeds tobedecided.In theblockdiagramdesign,logicoperation stepsaresegmentedindetails withpipelinetoimprove theefficiencyofthehardware.Finally,eachmoduleoftheFPGAprogramissimulated,andthe simulationresults complywiththe requirements.Inthispaper,theFPGArealizationoftheAESalgorithmispresentedwithareference design scheme.First,thehardwareplatform,developmentlanguage,hardwaredevelopmenttools, andsoftwaredevelopmenttoolsforFPGArealizationofAESalgorithm,areintroduced.Second, theoveralldesignblockdiagramofGPON-AESmoduleimplementationschemearegivenin details,andthenthefunctionofeachcomponentanddesign.Finally,timingsimulation,the designresults andperformanceofGPON-AESmodulearepresented.Keywords:AES,FPGA,encryption,decryption,hardwareimplementation目录专用术语注释表..................................................................................................
