The Design and Implement ofDieselEngineFaultDiagnosis Based onEmbeddedSystemAbstractDieselengine,asoneofthemostcommonlyusedlargemechanicalequipmentpower supply,playsanimportantroleinthesocialdevelopment.Itis widelyusedinthefieldsofoil drilling,powergeneration,largetypeexcavator,railwaytraction,SpaceShuttleandvarious kindsofvessels.However,thecomplexityofdieselstructure,harshworkingconditionsand otherlinkfactorsmakesthedieselunpredictablefaults.Itisnotonlyresultingreateconomic lossesbutalsoputworkersindanger.Underthisbackground,thedieselofconditionmonitor andfaultdiagnosis becomes apopular andimportantresearchtopic.Withthecontinuousdevelopmentofcomputerandmicroelectronicstechnology,the parallelprocessingcapabilitiesoftheoperatingsystemandthefastandpowerfuldata processingabilityaregreatlyimproved.Embeddedsystemshavebeenuniversal tothe industrialcontrol,houseappliances,robotics,portableinstrumentandaerospace,etc. Embeddedhas alsobeenpopularizedintheapplicationoffaultdiagnosis.Thepaperintroducesakindofdieselenginefaultdiagnosissystemwhichisbasedon embedded.Firstly,awholedesignproject,thatanembeddedfaultdiagnosissystemis introducedindetail,whichincludestheembeddedhardwareplatformandtheperipheral circuitdesignof eachmodule.ThesystemofhardwareplatformadoptedS3C2440,whichisproducedbySamsung，as thecoreprocessingchip,andextendedthecorrespondinghardwarecircuitwhichisbasedontheminimumsystem,includingpowercircuit,Ethernet communicationmodule,SDstoragemodule,serialcommunicationmodule,datacollect module,etc.Secondly,theembeddedsystem’sdevelopmentmethod,debuggingenvironment andsoftwareenvironmentaredescribed.UsingtheLinuxasoperatingsystemontheboard, achievingconfiguration,compileandtransplantationofthekernelandrootfilesystem,and thencompletingdevicedriverandapplicationprogramonthesystem.Makingthewholesystemrunnormallyandrealizingvibrationsignalofdieselacquisition,storage,processing andthecorrespondingdiagnosisfunction.Finally,thepurposeoftheon-linecondition monitoringandfaultdiagno
