If the fifth named storm-the “E” storm- develops before July 22, this year will have the hurricane season with the fastest start. Its name would be Erika. The hurricane season is from June 1 till the end of November. A typical Atlantic hurricane season has 10 named storms, six hurricanes and two major hurricanes.
