Researchonextrusion processofmagnesiumalloyboxWang Mingzhe DirectedbyZhangBaohongAbstractThemagnesiumalloysisstudiedinthetextboxisanimportantpartofaproduct,highdimensionalaccuracy、complicatedshapeandhighperformance requirements.Fortheseparts, havingbeenusingaluminumalloyastherawmaterialsforprocessing,butbecausetheparts requirelightweight ,thealuminumalloymaterialqualityisdifficulttomeettheservicerequirementsofthecomponent.This paperUSEStheAZ80magnesiumalloyas rawmaterials, itischaracteristicoflowprice,highintensity,lightquality,goodelectromagneticshielding effect,die-castingeasily,magnesiumalloyhousingisothermalextrusionformingtechnologywas studied.TheAZ80magnesiumalloybodyparthas complexshape:Itsinnerholeis square,and two sidewallthicknessis asymmetry,locationaccuracyrequirementis high,thebottomiswavyandconvex setinthecenter.the researchofthis kindofspecial structure,difficultly extrusionformingprocess has greatsignificance.Accordingtothecharacteristicsofthestructureoftheparts,theformingprocesswas analyzedandextrusionpart drawingwasdetermined. Thedifferentsimulationresultsof differentformingstepsbasedontheestablishmentofsimplifiedmodelwasanalyzedbythe wayofthreedimensionalfiniteelementnumericalsimulationsoftwareMSC/superform,and determinedtheprocessschemeoftwotimesupsettingasquareblank,andthenthrougha compositeextrusionforming.AnalysingtheflowpatternofAZ80magnesiumalloyextruded metalas wellas theeffects ofdifferenttemperatures,extrusionspeed,frictionfactorandother parametersontheextrusionprocess,whichhelptosetreasonablewarmextrusionprocessparameters.Combinedwiththesimulationresultsandcomprehensiveotherfactorsto consider:undertheconditionoftheextrusiontemperatureisabout410℃,thefrictionfactoris 0.1,andtheextrusion speedis 2mm/sforformingismore reasonable.On the basis of the research, the mould was designed and optimized,and theexperimentalresearchwascarriedout.Theresultshowedthat:formulationprocessscheme wasfeasible,designedmouldwas appropriatelyapplied,metalflowwas
