* * The nice thing about a solar system is that it will produce the most energy when it is most urgently needed in an office building: during daytime, when your computers ar running and the air conditioning system consumes the most electricity. The red line shows the consumption curve of an office building, the green line shows the solar electricity produced by photovoltaics. A remarkable portion of the daily electricity demand can be covered by the solar system. During the night some additional energy has to be bought from the grid; around midday the solar office can even feed energy back into the public grid.
