Its general principal consists of using simulations and models of the various components of the system, and express in a common formalism their performance for each function which they realise. Then, organising these functions in a general tree structure where dependancies between functions are expressed using a temporal logic, it is possible to compute recursively a notion of performance. Introduction The work presented here is related to the general problem of the evaluation by simulation of complex systems.
