The structure and morphology of the chitosan resin were characterized by Fourier transformation-infrared and scanning electron microscopy, respecti ely. T he influencing factors on its adsorpti ity w ere also in estigated. The results show that the resin has acti e groups to adsorb metal ions and its surface 2+ particles are homogeneous. T he adsorpti ity of the chitosan resin for Cu was up to 32655 mg/ g w hen the chitosan resin w as prepared w ith the conditions of 3 mL of ethanol, 5 mL
