In this study, Fe-24Mn-0.6C series 24Mn-0.6C TWIP TWIP steel was doped with 2 wt% and 4 wt% Al element TWIP through a vacuum induced melting process. The micro structure of the Al doped TWIP steels was examined and their mechanical properties determined. Analysis results showed that the hot-rolled TWIP steels have annealing 75~ 100 m twins. The grain size increased from 75 to 100 m with (g) Al content increasing to 4 wt%. The au stenite phase Fe-24Mn-0.6C was the mainphaseof TWIP steels at room temperature. (T.S. x El.)
