This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY). /licenses/by/4.0/ Abstract 21st century is known as the “century of the brain”, neuroimaging studies about how the brain completes the various tasks are significantly increased. In this paper, we reviewed brain research about the neuroimaging of language production and language comprehension over the several decades. These studies indicate that various parts of the brain are responsible for completing various cognitive tasks including language processing, such as Broca’s area and Wernicke’s area, primary auditory and visual cortexs, the left hemisphere frontal and temporal lobe regions, and the homologous regions of the right hemisphere, etc. In the paper, the results of these studies are briefly summarizes.
