This results in a spray pattern without atomisation and therefore no over spray. * Electrostatic sprayguns are connected to a source of high voltage, which is applied to the paint as it passes through the spraygun. The object to be painted must be very well earthed, so that the positively charged paint is attracted to it. When the face of the object is coated it becomes insulated, and the paint is then attracted to the rear of the object. In this way, tubes can be completely coated form one side. * * Good quality paint application equipment costs a lot of money, but it is worth buying good quality equipment as it will repay you in terms of quality and length of service. Always maintain your equipment properly. Regular cleaning and servicing prevents problems. Use good quality paint with good quality equipment to get the best finish available. * SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT Non-corrosive equipment such as stainless steel, aluminium etc... should be used.
