Section one:My private understanding of foreign language,English and English major. As an English major student,we should have a good knowledge of our major,assignments and situations.in order to accurate ourselves accurately and make full use of the resources of our university，and then grasp the essence of English and make English our own. Nowadays,there are increasing English learners,English learning is prevalent not only in university campus but also in kindergartens.English major students is relatively less in English learners,and in fact,some non-English major learners’ English standard is higher than English major learners. English major is not equal to professional English,some English major students even hadn’t realized Scientific English and Legal English as well as certain majors’ terminology and idiomatic expressions until they graduated.Therefore,some interviewers from famous enterprises prefer non-English major students with a good command of English,and they always suspect that why so many English major students graduated with so poor an English standard.So its a hardship for English major graduates to be competitive in hundreds of thousands of graduates,let alone the differences between university classes,such as regular colleges,211 colleges and 985 colleges. As English major students,we should make sure that what industry we will be engaged in at first.For instance,if you want to devote your self to Movie and TV media or International relations,you should grasp the relevant basic vocabulary and terminology in advance.
