Installation Guide Step 5: Install the Memory Module 1. Insert the memory module into the first memory socket (DIMM1) with the correct orientation. 2. The memory module should be inserted firmly at 45 degrees. Then push it down gently until the bilateral levers are fastened. If you have more than one memory module, please align the second memory module to the second memory socket (DIMM2) 14 Installation Guide The location of the notch along the gold edge of the memory module needs to be lined up with key notch in the socket. Memory module can only fit in one direction due to the keyed notch. Wrong orientation will cause improper installation and may damage the memory module or DIMM socket. 3. If you want to uninstall the memory module, loosen the bilateral secure levers to dislocate the memory module. 4. The memory module should pop up at 45 degrees, take the memory module away carefully with your thumb and forefinger to avoid the damage to the golden fingers of the memory module. 15 Installation Guide Step 6: Install the W LAN Card 1. Insert the W LAN card in the right position and then fasten it with the screw. The location of the notch along the gold edge of the WLAN card needs to be lined up with key notch in the socket. WLAN card can only fit in one direction due to the keyed notch. Wrong orientation will cause improper installation and may damage the WLAN card or WLAN card socket. 2.
