Subject English Grade seven Lesson type New lesson Topic Unit 10 Where did you go on vacation? Resource analysis This unit reviews the past indefinite tense, and how to use it to ask question. It has a close relation to the unit 9.This unit aimed at consolidating what have learned in the last unit. In this unit, students will learn a new interrogative—where and some new sentence patterns. This unit can help develop students` ability of using the past indefinite tense to ask questions and knowing how to answer them. Student analysis The students in this class are from country. Their English foundation is poor, especially oral English and listening. Eighty percent students have an interesting in speaking English despite that they may have mistakes. Twenty percent students are too shy to speak English. Most of them like group work, which can evoke their initiative. They work very hard and they remember many words. Teaching objectives After learning this lesson, the students will be able to know what is the past indefinite tense, and can write and speak out what others did in English. They should know how to question with the past indefinite tense and how to answer them, In addition, they will know the meaning of the interrogative〝where〞and how to use it to question. They should know two important sentences: where did you go on vacation? Did you∕he∕she∕they go to Central Park?
