Unit 3 My Week The third period Teaching content: Unit 3 My Week Teaching objectives: 1.Knowledge objective: Vocabulary and phrase: Ss can read these new words and verb phrases correctly-basketball,soccer,ping-pong, baseball,piano,violin,play soccer,play basketball,play ping-pong,play baseball,play the piano,play the violin. Emotional objective: Ss can arrange their plans reasonably on every weekdays. Teaching key and difficult points Key points: To learn some verb phrases. Difficult points: Say and write this key sentences :What do you do on Monday? I play the violin on Monday. Teaching aids:word cards,computers,recorders. Teaching Procedures: Step 1 Warming up Let the Ss to sing a song Follow me. Step 2 Presentation Review the words from Monday to Sunday.Ask Ss what day is it today. (Review the new words and sentences we have learn before.) Show the PPT of basketball, play a game-sharp eyes. Have Ss guess. Read words together with performance.(Ss can learn basketball more easily). Show a picture of playing basketball,learn the verb phrase,have Ss write down the phrase 2 times on their exercise book.(To learn the verb phrase) To learn soccer,ping-pong,baseball,piano,violin.The same patter as above.(Ss are able to read these new words and verb phrases correctly). Play a game named Lucky Price.Have some Ss to come in front of the class and take out a Lucky box,Ss choose one price from the box and act it out,the whole class say out the verb phrase quickly and correctly.(Practice to read the verb phrases). Show a PPT to learn key sentence.(To remember this key sentence well.) Step 3 Practice Let Ss say out the verb phrases according the picture and performance. Write down the new words and phrases 2 times and read. Step 4 Summary Show a PPT to summary the words,phrases and sentences, have the whole class to read it together. Step 5---Homework Make a schedule form from Monday to Friday. Finish the exercise of writing book.
