In the event that manual flight is required and the AP/FD are not available (or turned off), the green desired track line will become a dashed green line and the solid green current aircraft track line will appear (this current aircraft track line is only available with both FDs off). By overlaying the current aircraft track line over the dashed desired track line, it is fairly straightforward to maintain the centerline on a TF leg. On an RF leg, keep the “cross” over the center of the track. The nose or the aircraft symbol can be used as a guide as well—by at least getting the nose of the aircraft symbol to touch the track line, the aircraft will be within RNP 0.3 tolerances (on the 10 mile scale). Continue to return to track until the “cross” is centered and maintain the path. On an RF leg, keep the “cross” over the center of the track.
