Nouns 名词 There are many words in English。 英语里有很多词。 And everything around us has a name that re·pre·sent them. 所有在我们身边的东西都有一个名字代表他们。 And they are called nouns. 这些名字被称为：名词。 There are nouns that if I have one, I’ll say its name. 有些名词如果我有一个，我说它的名字即可。 And if I have two, I’ll put an S behind it. 如果我有两个，我就在后面加个S. That’s what we call ‘Coun·ta·ble Nouns’. 这就是所谓的可数名词。 But there are also nouns that I can·not tell how many I have. 但有些名词我们无法说出有多少的。 We call those words ‘Un·coun·ta·ble Nouns’. 我们叫那些做不可数名词。 Worse still, there are some nouns that we don’t put an S behind, while they’re still coun·ta·ble. 更糟糕的是，有些可数名词我们不在后面加S。 And some other nouns claim to be plu·ral while they look like sin·gu·lar. 另外一些名词看上去是单数，但说自己是复数。 That’s so con·fu·sing! 好混乱啊！ Let’s find out when or how they are used. 我们一起来找出如何或何时使用它们吧。 1. From Singular单 to Plural复 1.1 most of the time, put an S behind. 大部分情况，直接加个S. 1.2 Ending with –s, -x, -ch, -sh, put -es behind. –s, -x, -ch, -sh结尾，加es. 1.3 ‘Consonant + y’, re·move the y and add -ies . ‘辅音+y’结尾，去y加-ies。 1.4 ‘Vowels + y’, just put an S. ‘元音+y’结尾， 直接加S。 1.5 ‘Consonant + o’, add es . ‘辅音+o’结尾，去y加-ies。(除photo) 1.6 ‘元音 + o’, add an S. ‘元音+o’结尾，直接加S。 1.7 Ending with f or fe, change f or fe into ves. 以f或fe结尾，改f或fe成ves.(roof直接加s) 1.8 Special Plurals 特殊复数形式：man-men, foot-feet child-children. 2. Particulars 特殊情况 2.1 2 in 1. 单复数同形： Buffalo(水牛), crab(蟹), deer(鹿), Viet·namese(越南人), Can·tonese(广东人), means(方法), series(系列) 2.2 Only plurals 只有复数形式： Trousers, pants, compasses(圆规), traffic lights 2.3 Group words. 集体名词 Police, people, 以单数形态表示复数意思,不能加a。 2.4 Put an S after a family name. 在姓的复数前加the,表示“夫妻俩”或“一家人” The Chens, the Xus, the Lis, the Obamas 3. Uncountable Nouns Measure words 量词 不可数名词没有复数形式，要表示其数量要用量词。如：piece, glass, bottle, cup, 如：一条新闻，两块面包，三张纸，四杯牛奶，五瓶水，三碗饭，一块蛋糕(太简单了) 特：Chicken解作肌肉时是不可数名词， 但解作小鸡，活鸡的时候是可数名词。
