Abstract Based on the analysis of the equivalent circuit model of organic solar cells ( OSC) , the explicit
expression of current and voltage w as obtained by means of W-function, and the effects of OSC s internal series

resistance and shunt resistance on the current voltage properties short circuit current open circuit voltage fill
factor and energy conversion efficiency w ere studied The results demonstrate that the series resistance can.
influence OSC s short -circuit current but have no influence on open-circuit voltage, and the shunt resistance can
influence OSC s open-circuit voltage but have no influence on short-circuit current. The decrease of series
resistance and the increase of shunt resistance all can enhance the fill factor and energy conversion efficiency of
organic solar cells T his conclusion is essential in preparation of OSC and improvement of photovo
