Abstract: Po terior cruciate ligam ent i crucial to the tab ility of knee joint. PCL, located in the central part of knee joint,
p lay a critical role a the ax i of rotation and exten ion-flex ion m otion of knee joint. Com pared w ith anterior cruciate liga-
m ent, it i deeper located, le u ceptib le to injury and le ym ptom aticw hen injured, therefore related re earch on PCL
ha long been neglected. S ince 1990 , a tud ie on PCL e pecially on it anatom ic and biom echanical propertie ha deep ly
progre ed, the e propertie of PCL have becom em ore and m ore mi portant a the guidance of clin ical practice of PCL recon-
truction. Ba ed on thi, the late t progre e in re earche on anatom ic and b iomechan ical propertie of PCL were reviewed
in thi article.
