Methods: 100 patients were randomly divided into 2 groups. The observation group (50 cases) was treated with the self-made Huatan Huatan Decoction as the basic prescription and Western medicine as the routine treatment. The control group (50 cases) was treated with western medicine only. Results: the total effective rate was 90% in the treatment group and 72% in the control group, and the total effective rate in the 2 groups was higher than that in the control group (P 0.05). The observation group heart palpitations, lower extremity edema, cyanosis, wet sound better than the control group P 0.01, P 0.05), blood gas analysis and blood rheology indexes before and after treatment, the observation group had significant difference (P 0.01, P 0.05). Conclusion: Huatan Huatan Decoction Combined with western medicine is effective in the treatment of pulmonary heart disease.
