一、教学目“because” and“because of
二.教学设想:To arouse students’ interest in learning English and loving their study motivation and help them establish good study habits.
三、教学难点和重点:Let the students use “because” and “because of ”to make some sentences.
四、教学步骤:
Step1: Revision
Greetings
Show pictures and use conditional sentences to talk about possible situations.
If I go to North Africa, I will see a lot of camels.
I will see some beautiful birds if I walk through a rainforest.
If hunters catch a giant panda, they will kill it for its fur.
If giant pandas are in danger, what shall we do?
What will a bear do if it is in danger?
What will elephants do if they are thirsty?
Male wolves will protect their families if there is danger.
If I see a snake in front of me, I will run the other way.
Step2. presentation:
The teacher shows some pictures of animals, then ask students:
Which is your favorite wild animal?
Encourage students to say reasons.
Ask the last student , then write the sentence on the Bb:
揕i liang likes monkeys best because they are lovely and clever. ”
Give more sentences:
Xi Wang had to look after herself because her mother had another baby.
Many wild animals died because they didn’t have enough food.
We must protect wild animals because they are our friends.
The number of giant pandas is getting smaller and smaller because hunters hunt them for their fur.
3. Explain:
Talk about the rule of ‘because’ by students:
Let the students work in pairs. Encourage them to talk about more sentences.
Step3. Practice:
Let the students do Text P67 (B) by themselves and talk about in pairs, then check answers.
Games four in groups. Which group will win if they can use ‘because’ to write the most and best sentences in limited time.
Step4. Presentation:
The teacher say: I think you love the animals. Would you like to see more wild animals?
Ss: Yes.
T: OK. We will go to the zoo if it is fine tomorrow.
