Summary of Test Method 1.1 This test method covers the determination of the volume 4.1 A 100-mL sample of the undiluted fuel is centrifuged at of free water and sediment in middle distillate fuels having a relative centrifugal force of 800 for 10 min. at 21 to 32°C (70 viscosities at 40°C (104°F) in the range of 1.0 to 4.1 mm 2/s to 90°F) in a centrifuge tube readable to 0.005 mL and (1.0 to 4.1 cSt) and densities in the range of 770 to 900 kg/m3. measurable to 0.01 mL.
