Karapatyan IAQ T3S1 Innovative techniques in IAQ ABSTRACT The assessment of indoor air quality (IAQ) risks to building occupants has become a complex and challenging issue for building owners and facility managers. Recent research has defined causal links between construction practices and infection rates in health care building and renovation projects. Attention to IAQ management during building construction is being elevated because of its potential role in fungal, mold, related problems in buildings. Advanced environmental control techniques and are now being developed to better manage IAQ in health care facilities, including improved particulate control, air disinfection systems, moisture control, and pressurization strategies.
