T heir microstructures and mechanical properties w ere examined. Results show ed that both the tw o alloys displayed basketw eave type microstructures. T he laths in T i1 Al12Nb3Cr1Mo tended to be inclined w ith a smaller angle to the w ithdraw al direction than Ti1 Al12Nb alloy al though the limited thermal gradient and comparatively high w ithdraw al velocity w ere employed. Re markable enhancement in strength and ductility w as achieved at room temperature and 50 .
