从《画皮》及《暮色》比较分析中西人鬼文化_英语论文 AbstractGhosts and vampires are two different images formed from eastern and western culture. There are huge numbers of literary works and historical records of relevant ghosts and vampires. Ghost culture in the east and west is a branch of culturology. There are differences as well as similarities between the two cultures. Based on the two fantasy films Painted Skin and Twilight，the thesis made a comparative study on the ghost and vampire culture from various perspectives，aiming at exploring the similar good and evil of human nature wedged into the different entertaining forms of our era，and hoping to make a reference for readers with their further understanding on cross-cultural communication. This paper is made up of five chapters. The first chapter makes a general introduction about eastern ghost culture and western vampire culture as well as the two films. The second chapter analyzes different historical and cultural origin of ghost and vampire culture in the aspect of different social and economic formations, religious roots, attitudes towards death and influences made by two cultures. The third chapter exposits that people from both cultures show the similar emotion for their life and death. The fourth chapter exploits the value of modern people to their own existence in the era of the mechanization and information on the basis of the fact of the prevailing trend of ghost and vampire films. The last chapter concludes the whole paper and further emphasizes the importance of comparing two different cultures to promote the cross-culturalcommunication.
