Because of the special structure style, the structuresw ith retractable roofs are different from the conventional structures. There are different dynam ic characteristics in d ifferentw orking cond itions. Th is paper uses a retractable roof structure in Zhejiang Province as an examp le. Through calcu lating the dynam ic characteristic at both open and close locking states and analyzing the response of structure subjected to horizontal and vertical earth quake force, the earthquakeresistance of the structure is analyzed. Based on the research, the authorsm ake a sug gestion on the earthquakeresistantm easures of the structure.
