It could notm eet the railw ay prospecting criterion, so the drilling techniquemust be mi proved. Research conclusions: ( 1) The app licable test of drilling show ed the Single- acting Double- tube diamond b it cou ld prevent the w ash of the fluid, reduce the vibration of the drilling bit and remain the original core structure, therefore to avoid the pollution and burnt damage to the rock core. ( 2) Application of the Single- acting Double- tube d iamond bit could enhance the core- drilling ratio to 1% maxmi ally and the core- drilling ratio could meet the the raiwl ay prospecting criterion.
