We M g - 8 L i L 8 used OM, SEM, XRD, micro-hardness tester, tensile Mg-8 Li-2 Al (LA82) Mg-8 Li-2 Al-0.3 Mn tester and potentiostat to determine the mechanical (LAM820) Mg-8 Li-2 Al-0.3 Zr (LAK820) and cor r osion -r esist ant pr op er t ies of Mg- 8 Li Mg-8 Li-2 Al-0.3 Cr (LAR820) Mg-8 Li-2 L8, Mg-8 Li-2 Al LA82, Mg-8 Li-2Al-0.3 Al-0.3 Zr-0.3 Cr-0.3 Mn (LAMKR82000) Mn (LAM820), Mg-8 Li-2 Al-0.3 Zr (LAK820), Mg-8 Li-2 Al-0.3 Cr (LAR820) and Mg-8 Li-2 2wt% Al LA 82 Al-0.3 Mn-0.3 Zr-0.3 Cr (LAMKR82000) alloys. β Results showed that the addition of 2 wt% Al in L8 AlLi alloy improved the tensile strength by forming AlLi precipitates in the β phase of the Al-bearing LA82 L8 LA820.3% alloy.
