This paper mainly introduces several realization principle of wireless positioning technology based on the existing cellular communication system, the main problems and application prospects to solve. Keywords: angle of arrival (AOA); time of arrival (TOA); time difference of arrival (TDOA); line of sight (LOS); non line of sight propagation (NLOS) The application and classification of positioning technology In recent years, with the increase of user demand, wireless positioning technology has attracted more and more attention, promote the development of research and measurement technology of wireless location technology. How to utilize existing cyber source, low cost to realize the accurate positioning of users has been the focus of research. In general, the realization of wireless positioning mainly has two kinds of solutions, the first is by the mobile station (MS) positioning technology led. From a technical perspective, this technology more easily provide users precise location information, it can use some of the existing positioning system, for example, in the mobile station integrated GPS receiver, so as to achieve precise positioning of the user using GPS signal ready. But this kind of technology need to add new hardware at the mobile station, which will bring about adverse effects on the size and cost of the mobile station.
