The meaning of electroplating
Electroplating is the process of applying a principle of electrolysis to coating a certain metal surface with a thin layer of other metal or alloy.

The main purpose of electroplating is to increase the corrosion resistance of metal, increase the appearance and hardness of the surface.

The principle of electroplating is consistent with the principle of electrolytic copper. Electroplating, are generally used with a plating liquid electrolyte containing metal ion plating; the cathode plating metal products into plating liquid and the DC power supply is used as the cathode; for coating metal as the anode, cathode is connected with DC power supply. Through low voltage direct current, the anode metal dissolves in the solution and becomes a cation. It moves toward the cathode. The ions are obtained at the cathode and the electrons are reduced to metal.
It is well known that the surface of metal is easy to oxidize and rust, especially in recent years, the corrosion of acid rain and air has aggravated the degree of corrosion of metal. Therefore, chromium plating technology is widely used in metal surface treatment process.
In our country, the traditional electroplating chromium metal surface treatment process has more than 180 years of history. Through the technology principle of anodic dissolution and cathode adsorption, the process can form a protective layer on the surface of a variety of easily oxidized and rusted metal workpieces. However, with the rapid development of the market economy and the continuous expansion of the application of chromium plating technology, the disadvantages of the traditional electroplating process are becoming more and more obvious, and the disadvantages are mainly as follows:
