Annually, ACESDV tracks domestic violence related fatalities of women, men, and children in Arizona and has produced fatality reports since 2005. Since 2005, over 1,000 Arizonans have lost their lives in domestic violence related incidents. These tragedies represent a small fraction of those individuals in Arizona who use violence in intimate and familial relationships. They also remind us of the potential for lethality in these relationships. In 2013, the National Network to End Domestic Violence conducted its annual survey of domestic violence providers and in one day in Arizona 1,796 victims/survivors received services (NNEDV, 2014).
