2012 SUGGESTED RENTAL RATES FOR CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT FOREWARD This 2012 edition of the Nova Scotia Road Builders Association Suggested Schedule of Rental Rates for Construction Equipment is presented for the information and guidance of the whole construction industry- the owners, the engineers, the contractors and equipment dealers. The objective of the Association in publishing these rates is to provide a basic guide, encompassing all the factors of the cost of ownership, and expressing them in the appropriate rate form. The Association would emphasize that these rates are in no way mandatory or inflexible,but can serve the industry as a basic guide from which owners, engineers, contractors andequipment dealers may negotiate for the rental of specific items. The rates used have been determined after considerable review and discussion by both contractors and equipment dealers in Nova Scotia. It is the Association’s hope that this edition will continue to serve the construction industry as well as did its predecessors.
