I the Dawu Well Field, a karstfracture aquifer i Zibo City i the east of Chi a, w as seriously polluted by petrochemicals from the operati g of the Petrochemi cal Pla ts. More tha 60 species of orga ic co tami a ts were detected i the water supply wells i the Liuha gHougao zo e, i the west part of Dawu Well Field. I vestigatio s i dicated that the co tami a ts w ere tra sported from the Petrochemical Pla ts to the karstfracture aquifer alo g karst fractures a d the Ji li g Fault. I the grou dw ater, co ce tratio s of polluta ts vary w ith depths. Co ce tratio s are high is the depth because of the tra smissibility of theJi li g Fault. Local co vective flow field stro gly i flue ced the tra sportatio of co tami a ts. Hydraulic barriers ca preve t the tra sportatio of co tami a ts a d remove them w ith abstrac tio .
