This p ap er reviewed t he population ecology and systematic researches using molecular markers and cytological met hods in mangrove plant s and looked forward to t he furt her prosp ect s of molecular ecology in mangrove conservation and manage ment according to t he research references in t hese fields : The molecular evolutionary evidence of some sp ecies in Rhi zop horaceae using I TS ,mat K rbcL sequencing conformed to t he morp hological systematic relationship wit h much earlier differentiation time t han t hat from fossil records. The mangrove sp ecies populations based on isoenzyme and RA PD analy ses showed t hat t he lower genetic diversity and higher differentiation in t hose p an - distributed sp ecies populations deal ing wit h t he continental drift . This indicated t hat t he relatively fragile ecosystem of mangrove needed to be protected ur gently from more human activities.
