Whether a foreign culture can be accepted by the society depends to a great extent on the attitude of the peasants to it. In modern Chinese and Western cultural exchanges, the basic attitude of farmers towards foreign cultures is pragmatism. In this process, the traditional intellectuals play an important role in the dissemination and introduction of foreign cultures.
