Performance management is the standard to measure employees work, as well as the traction mechanism. It tells employees what enterprises need and what behaviors should be encouraged through records, rewards and punishments, and what behaviors should be banned. And feedback points out the actual gap between expectations and employees, and guide employees to learn and improve to meet the requirements. In the process of reform and development, enterprises put more and more high demands on their own management, and pay more and more attention to performance management. However, performance management, as an important and difficult point of human resource management, has always been a problem that has been discussed and researched by many enterprises. According to an online survey conducted by Chinas human resources development and management network, 39.29% of people believe that the challenges of performance management are the biggest in the construction of human resources management. In the process of system reform, enterprises have done a great deal of research on performance management. Many enterprises have established performance appraisal system, and have made many achievements, but there are still some places to be further improved. For example, some evaluation method is not reasonable, evaluation standard is not clear, index selection is not scientific enough, assessment too much emphasis, not enough attention and guidance in improving, such as insufficient coverage of team or operating personnel complete performance management, management methods are not mature, etc.. According to the combination of theory study and practice, the following ideas are formed for the improvement of performance management in enterprises:
