T he Zr O2 pow ders w ere characterized by XRD and TEM . T he ZrO2 pow ders of a mixture of mZrO2 and tZrO2 can be directly synthesized from zirconium ( ) nitrate by the low hydrothermal process in reaction solution w ith different pH. When the reaction solution w as added w ith glycerin, it w as found that ZrO2 pow ders w ith pure tetragonal phase could be directly synthesized at 80 w ith certain pH. T he proportion of glycerin and the pH value of reaction solution w ere interrelated to the crystallographic forms of the zirconia pow ders.
