Abstract:Theurbanagglomerationsarethefundamentalunitsintheinternationalcompetition.Itisimportant
tooptimizeitsinteriorindustrialstructure,makethecityfunctionforsupplementaryeachother,enhancethe
economicalrelationdivisionandthecooperationandincreasetheeconomicintegrationdegree.Therefore,it
isveryimportanttoscientificallyevaluatethedegreeoftheindustrialstructureanddivisionoftheurbanag-
glomerationstoo.Thepaperputsforwardthegreycorrelativeanalysismethodasthebaseoflocationquotient
forthefirsttimeandconductanempiricalanalysisonurbanagglomerationsofHenanprovinceinviewofthe
insufficiencyofthesimilarcoefficientmethodsandthelocationquotientmethodstraditionally.Theresultin-
dicatedthatcomparedwiththesimilarcoefficientmethodsonly,themethodmayestimatethesimilardegree
oftheindustrialstructurebetweentwoareasandreflectthelocalindustrialspecialization,thecomparisonsu-
