六西格玛:追求零缺陷的质量水平(国外英文资料) For the last twenty years, one word has attracted the CEO of big companies and Wall Streets financial analysts. The word is 6 sigma (Six Sigma). Six Sigma, as a very strict business process system, can be said to be a collection of all advanced quality management tools, and can help enterprises truly realize the zero defect of the product. Sigma is a statistical term used to measure the quality of a process. The magnitude of the sigma is 2~6, which represents how many defects there may be in a million products. For an average company, a 4 Sigma is a good achievement, which is equivalent to 6000 defects per million products (99.4% pass rate). Our goal is 6 Sigma, which is equivalent to 3.4 defects per million products, that is, the pass rate is 99.9997%. The higher the qualification rate, the higher the economic efficiency. Therefore, six sigma plays an important role in improving the operation of the company. There is a fundamental difference between the Six Sigma and quality improvement systems - Total Quality Management (TQM).
