The fractures, which serve as the notable characteristics of low permeability reservoir, control the flow system of reservoir fluid and restrain the development effect. How to recognize the fractures by using the conventional data and how to build the 3D fracture model are the important and difficult points of low permeability oilfield development. Considering this problem, the author carries on helpful probe. The original model of fracture distribution is analyzed from the similar outcrop areas and the drilling cores to build the knowledge base of fracture characteristics.
