Among the solutions of the display techniques aiming at the mixed reality, light field 3D display is able to provide more vivid display performance and more intuitive human-machine interactive experience. We compare several 3D display methods, and discuss the prospects for the light field display applied to the mixed reality by reviewing different light field display prototypes.
