Based on available results of researches on pipeline steel with high deformation resistance, this paper analyzes and summarizes the design basis (tensile strain and compressive strain) and typical characteristics (dual phase structure, low yield ratio, high uniform elongation and strain hardening exponent, typical vault type of stress-strain curve) of pipeline steel with high deformation resistance, discusses the research progress and influencing factors from aspects of rolling technology, chemical components, structure property, welding process, and corrosion properties respective
