Chemical properties of the purified polysaccharide were analyzed, It identified that the compositon of polysaccharide contained erythritol and D-fructose by the GC-MS spectra. The crude procyanidins from the tea(Camellia oLeifer) Seed Shell was isolated by the Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, it was eluted with 60% ethanol, 60% acetone solution as followed, and the eluted solution with 60% ethanol (termed as Sample 1) and the eluted solution with 60% acetone (termed as Sample 2), which were analyzed and identificated with porter reaction, UV-scanning and HPLC. The results showed that Sample 1 and Sample 2 were both procyanidins, and their recovery were 19.5mg/g and 12.1mg/g, purity of them were 3.8% and 57.3%, respectively. and Sample 1 contained GA, Sample 2 contained EGC and other Procyanidin monomer materials.
