It is found that wellbonded clad plates can be obtained by this p ocess. T he bond st ength imp o ves as the accu mulat ive defo mat ion and the fi st pass defo mation inc ease. T he su face t eatment methods, i. e. otoblasting and g inding help get a clean, f esh and wo kha dening inte face, the efo e imp ove the bond st eng th of T A1/ Q235 clad plates. W hen the o lling tem pe atu e is lowe than 800 , the st ipped mic ost uctu e of Q235 steel can be ex amined. Howeve , w hen olling tempe atu e is hig he than 850 , this kind of st ipped mic ost uctu e tu ns into equiaxed g ains due to ec ystallization. In addition, the e a e fe ite belts w ith egula and coa se g ains along the joint inte face, but the mic ost uctu e of T A1 titanium is mainly equiax ed and Widmannsttten st uctu es in metallog aphic analysis.
