Abstract :
An investigation related to the waterproof performance of microcapsules － silicone and its effect to cement － based materials and
microstructure analysis are described． Results indicate that the performance of the microcapsules － silicone is very good ． Water absorption is less
than 2% when the cement mortar specimens are immersed for 21 days． Besides ，the microcapsules － silicone could be stored for a long time ，after
stored for 3 months ，water performance of which are as good as the new ones． And the microcapsules － silicone has little effect on the compressive
strength of the cement mortar ，which has a good effect on the propertys of anti － shrinkage for the cement mortars．
